Press Release Summary = Ecotel VoIP takes 1st place in Add-ons category
Press Release Body = Ebermannstadt, Germany - October 19, 2006. Vierling's "Ecotel VoIP" GSM gateway recently received the VoIPGermany award in the Add-ons category. The German Association for Post, Information Technology and Telecommunications (DVPT) grants this award for outstanding products in the VoIP sector. The award ceremony took place at the annual VoIPGermany event in Frankfurt, Germany. This trade show is organized by the DVPT in cooperation with the Frankfurt am Main Chamber of Commerce and Industry and is the leading VoIP event in Germany.
A seal of quality for outstanding products "The VoIPGermany award ceremony is the highlight of the annual VoIPGermany event where outstanding products and solutions receive this noted seal of quality", said Hans-Joachim Wolff, head of corporate consulting at the DVPT and the organizer of VoIPGermany. "Ecotel VoIP impressed a top-notch jury of users and industry specialists as well as an open jury including IT managers, specialized dealers and engineers. The device received the VoIPGermany award as an add-on product in the VoIP sector."
An innovative technology for a growing market The jury's decision was based on their assessment of the product's technical and commercial innovation as well as its business model. While Ecotel VoIP is new to the market, it is considered to be the most powerful commercially available VoIP GSM gateway, delivering maximum cost savings for all calls made via GSM, VoIP and ISDN. "Vierling's Ecotel VoIP is so far a unique product in a growing market", noted Anton Glöckner, head of Vierling's Mobile Communication product line. "With this gateway, we are targeting companies that have already fully adopted VoIP as well as those that are just now getting interested in cutting their telephone costs with VoIP. The device is currently available in Germany as well as in more than 40 countries around the globe."
Ecotel VoIP helps reduce telephone costs Ecotel VoIP can be connected via a LAN to a soft PBX or via an IP or BRI connection to an existing ISDN PBX. The gateway combines integrated GSM modules and its own antenna with an assortment of SIM cards to make cost-effective mobile to mobile calls in place of more expensive fixed line to mobile calls. Eight simultaneous SIP-based VoIP connections and cost-effective ISDN connections are also possible. The gateway will always select the most cost-effective routing. Using Ecotel VoIP at a company's international offices will significantly reduce the bill for international calls. This is true particularly when mobile radio networks and roaming charges are involved.
